This project involves a significant expansion of the existing mosque for the Islamic Society of the New River Valley, adding a 17,000-square-foot, two-story addition. The expansion will provide larger prayer areas, classrooms, offices, a new kitchen, a student study lounge, wudu areas, and a multi-purpose space. 5 Design worked closely with ISNRV to develop several conceptual floor plans and designs, aiming to create a modern mosque that meets the needs of the New River Valley community. The design thoughtfully incorporates elements of Islamic architecture, ensuring the building is easily recognizable as a place of gathering and worship.
